The
Final Round of the 2010 West Point Bridge Design Contest
was conducted on Saturday morning, May 8, 2010. The five finalist teams had just two hours to develop bridge designs for two different project scenarios.
Team Bebop, Myles and Josh from Cornwall, NY, came out on top and took home $5,000 scholarships in recognition of their achievement. All five finalists received Dell notebook computers as well. The final standings are listed below. Congratulations to all five teams--the world's best virtual bridge builders! |

The
Semi-Final Round of the West Point Bridge Design Contest
was conducted from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm EDT on March 22, 2010. 70 teams competed. The five teams that qualified for the Final Round are listed below. Congratulations to our finalists!
In the Semi-Final Round, teams were restricted to a 44-meter span with standard abutments and no portion of the structure extending above the deck. The top semi-final design submission is shown at right. |

By the way, the best design submitted during the Qualifying Round had a cost of $136,874.77. Well done, Timothy and Christian, who completed in the Open category.
