Previous Contests |

Since
the West Point Bridge Design Contest began in 2001, over 75,000
teams have submitted over 250,000 bridge designs for judging.
Here's
what some participants and their teachers have said about
the contest:
|
|
|
"The
students have really enjoyed participating in the West Point
Bridge Design competition. It was a great learning experience
for the 7th & 8th grade boys and girls who participated. It
was greatly appreciated that the software was free and ALL
students could participate. We are a school with a high minority
population. Many times students can't take part in extracurricular
activities because they can't afford even a $5.00 fee. Because
the software was free, we had quite a few students participate
in the contest!"

"This
contest is great because in school right now, we are building
a bridge out of popsicle sticks and making blueprints and
stuff so this really teaches me more about bridges and is
fun! Thanks!"

"Your
bridge building software is so superior to any of the commercial
programs that it has become the standard program throughout
the district. Thanks for sharing it."

"I
thank you for the tremendous piece of software you have created
and the wonderful application it provides for my students
and their learning. Thanks for your time and excellent tool
you have provided for educators. My students have really learned
a lot about engineering and some even are considering it for
a career choice."
