Semi-Final Round

The Semi-Final Round will be conducted on April 5, 2013. The 40 semi-finalist teams will participate at sites of their own choosing. Each team will access this web site, receive a new design project for WPBD 2013, and will have two hours to develop a new bridge design and submit it for judging.

At the conclusion of the Semi-Final Round, the top 6 teams will advance to the Final Round.

Final Round

The Final Round will be conducted on May 2, 2013, at West Point, New York. The contest will cover all reasonable costs associated with travel and lodging for the team members and for one parent or guardian per team.

During the Final Round, each team will be provided with a new design project for the West Point Bridge Designer 2013. Each team will be required to develop and submit a new bridge design within a two-hour period.

The top team at the conclusion of the Final Round will be declared the winner of the contest.

Forming a Team

A team can have no more than two members. For a team to be eligible for prizes, both members must meet the contest eligibility requirements.

If you can't find a teammate, you may compete alone. However, teams almost always perform better than individuals, so we strongly recommend that you work with a teammate.
