The Final Round of the West Point Bridge Design Contest was conducted on April 11, 2005, at West Point, New York. Starting at 9:30 a.m., the five finalist teams received new design projects for the West Point Bridge Designer 2005 and had just two hours to develop their designs.

Team ThereIsNoBridge, David and Thomas Michon from Irvine, California, finished first. David and Thomas each won a $10,000 scholarship.

Third Try, from Phoenix, Arizona, and Lechuga-cabra, from Newtown, Connecticut, finished second and third, respectively.

All ten finalists received notebook computers, in recognition of their successful completion of the Final Round.

The Semifinal Round of the West Point Bridge Design Contest was conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST on March 12, 2005. During this three-hour period, 85 semi-finalist teams received a new design project for the West Point Bridge Designer 2005, created new bridge designs, and submitted over 1,000 of them to the contest website for judging. The semi-finalists competed at locations of their own choosing and were monitored by teachers and contest volunteers.

The results of the Semifinal Round are listed below. The top five teams were invited to compete in the Final Round.
